Register of vulnerable people in the event of a disaster

In order to ensure the safety of our citizens when an emergency situation arises, the municipality of the Canton of Hatley will keep a register of vulnerable people, with a disability or with reduced mobility. We ask for your cooperation in registering anyone living in the Canton of Hatley who may require special assistance in the event of an emergency.

For example, a person:

  • that is elderly and living alone
  • with reduced autonomy
  • with low mobility
  • with a disability (hearing, visual, motor, sensory)
  • with an intellectual disability
  • with a cognitive problem (Alzheimer’s, etc.)
  • with a pervasive developmental disorder
  • with a mental health problem

You can contact us by phone at 819 842-2977 or by email at the following address: [email protected].

Please provide us with the following information: name and contact information of the vulnerable person, nature of the vulnerability (e.g. elderly and living alone), name and telephone numbers of a caregiver or family contact. Also mention whether or not the vulnerable person is registered with the PAIR program (daily call service for seniors).

This list will remain confidential and will only be used by emergency and civil security services.

The Pair Program

Do you live alone or know someone who lives alone? The Pair program could give you the security you need.

It’s FREE and the program has saved many lives already!

Pair is aimed primarily at people who are aging and living alone. This is a personalized, automated calling service that reaches subscribers to ensure their health is good.

How it works?

It’s simple … Since the program works with computer software, the subscriber chooses the number of call (s) he wishes to receive per day or per week. He also chooses the time he receives his call (s).

When the program contacts the subscriber, responding indicates that all is well. After 3 attempts within 20 minutes, if the subscriber has not answered, the system triggers an alert and a home visit is made to verify the member’s state of health.

How to join?

It is possible to register now on the site policerpm.com/inscription-programme-pair/

Pour avoir de l’information supplémentaire sur le programme ou pour obtenir de l’assistance lors de l’inscription, vous pouvez contacter la Régie de police de Memphrémagog au 819-843-3334, poste 0.
