Lake Massawippi ferry

The WIPPI will not be in operation this summer. We look forward to welcoming you in June of 2023.

The shuttle “Le Wippi” sails on the waters of Lake Massawippi during the summer. It is intended for cyclists and pedestrians and allows crossing the lake between the municipalities of Ayer’s Cliff and North Hatley.

With a capacity of 12 people, with or without their bikes, the boarding points are located at the municipal docks of Ayer’s Cliff (Route 141, opposite the rest area) and North Hatley (Main Street, opposite School Street). Each trip takes approximately one hour.

The boat sails 6 days a week at a rate of 6 trips per day, thus ensuring the continuous transportation of cyclists and pedestrians.

The Wippi is in regular operation until the beginning of September and thereafter on Saturdays only until the end of September. Weather permitting, there will be additional trips in early October.

The boarding sites are located at the municipal wharfs of Ayer’s Cliff (route 141, in front of the rest area) and of North Hatley (Main road, in front of the School street).

“The Wippi” is equipped with racks to keep the bikes in place during the ride. The Wippi is a great way to connect the  Les Grandes-Fourches bike trail (via the Axe du sommet or the Axe de la Massawippi) to that of the  Tomifobia Nature Trail.
