Financial assistance policy to promote the use of various reusable hygiene products<\/strong><\/h3>

The Municipality of Canton de Hatley supports families and the environment
<\/strong>Council wishes to encourage Canton de Hatley residents to reduce their waste production for the preservation of the environment with the enhancement of its financial assistance program for the purchase of cloth diapers. Thus, a 50% refund is now offered to citizens on the purchase of certain washable and reusable hygiene products.<\/p>

A refund of up to $ 200 per residence
<\/strong>Once the purchase is completed, each applicant must provide the supporting documents requested in order to obtain a reimbursement of up to $ 200 maximum per residence, per year. The form and invoices must be received by the municipality no later than six (6) months after the date of purchase<\/strong>.<\/p>

Products included in the policy
<\/strong>The financial assistance is applicable specifically to the products indicated in the three categories below:<\/p>

Reusable hygiene products and services for children<\/td>\u2022\tDiapers;
\n\u2022\tpotty training pants made of washable and reusable fabric including pool diapers, flat diapers, diaper covers, washable inserts and liners as well as washable products for bedwetting;
\n\u2022\tmaterial for making a set of at least 20 diapers (maximum 15 m of absorbent or waterproof fabrics. May be accompanied by accessories such as elastics, thread, snaps, etc. Accessories alone cannot be reimbursed.);
\n\u2022\tmembership in a cloth diaper rental service for a minimum of 12 months;
\n\u2022\tmembership in a cloth diaper washing service for a minimum of 12 months;
\n\u2022\tnursing pads.

Reusable feminine hygiene products<\/td>\u2022\tMenstrual cups, washable absorbent panties, washable sanitary napkins and pantiliners that are washable, reusable and designed for use by women;
\n\u2022\tmaterial for making a minimum of 5 sanitary napkins or washable pantiliners (maximum 5 m of absorbent or waterproof fabrics. May be accompanied by accessories such as thread, press studs, etc. Accessories alone cannot be reimbursed).

Reusable incontinence protection products<\/td>\u2022\tDiapers, sanitary protection and washable, reusable absorbent underwear as well as washable products for bedwetting at night;
\n\u2022\tmaterial for making a set of at least 10 diapers (maximum 15 m of absorbent or waterproof fabrics. May be accompanied by accessories such as elastics, thread, snaps, etc. Accessories alone cannot be reimbursed).
