ACEF Estrie\n(Estrie Cooperative Family Economy Association) warns the population against\nthe solicitations currently taking place in the region. Deceptively, some\ncompanies even claim to be mandated by R\u00e9no-climat or by Hydro. ACEF also\ninvites you to be wary of Facebook advertising related to energy efficiency and\nasking to register for a free inspection or assessment or contest. It urges\npeople not to sign under pressure in order to take the time to assess their\nneeds and compare the often cheaper prices at local merchants. ACEF recalls\nthat it is easy to cancel a traveling sales contract within 10 days. Please report\ncases of solicitation (even if no contract has been signed) to help better\ninform the population.
