Highland road – communiqu\u00e9 pdf<\/a><\/p>\n

Always in view of improving Canton de Hatley roads, the municipality needs to do important work on Highland road in the short term. The drainage needs to be re-done to improve the road. To do this, trees would have to be cut and the ditches excavated.<\/p>\n

Council is currently considering the possibility of transferring part of Highland road to the North Hatley Golf Club. The main reasons motivating such a decision are:
\nCost of roadwork and road maintenance
\nThe road is not used much
\nEconomic aspects and the sustainability of the North Hatley golf club
\nPeace and quiet for residents of the area<\/p>\n

A turn-around would be built to ensure safe passage for public utility vehicles and cars.<\/p>\n
