ACEF Estrie (Estrie Cooperative Family Economy Association) warns the population against the solicitations currently taking place in the region. Deceptively, some companies even claim to be mandated by Réno-climat or by Hydro. ACEF also invites you to be wary of Facebook advertising related to energy efficiency and asking to register for a free inspection or assessment or contest. It urges people not to sign under pressure in order to take the time to assess their needs and compare the often cheaper prices at local merchants. ACEF recalls that it is easy to cancel a traveling sales contract within 10 days. Please report cases of solicitation (even if no contract has been signed) to help better inform the population.
