Municipal committees

Urban Planning Advisory Committee (CCU)

Governed by Regulation 2021-11 concerning the Urban Planning Advisory Committee (CCU), this committee studies and analyzes issues related to urban planning and land use in order to make recommendations to the municipal council.

Among the issues dealt with by the CCU are minor exemption requests. A minor exemption is an exception to the application of certain regulations. The committee analyzes these requests according to established criteria in order to make a recommendation to the council, which decides whether to accept them.

The CCU also regularly processes permit or certificate of authorization applications submitted by owners whose buildings are located in an area affected by regulations relating to site planning and architectural integration, such as residential construction or renovations in certain zones, or work located in a steep slope area (15-30%).
