There is a space belonging to the Municipality which is located between the limit of a private property and the public road. This is called the municipal right-of-way. This strip of land runs along the public road and its width may vary from one road to another on the territory of the Municipality. The municipal right-of-way is part of the public road, which includes shoulders, ditches and possibly a strip of land beyond the ditch.

The Municipality or its contractors can therefore undertake at any time work deemed necessary in this municipal right-of-way.
