Canton de Hatley, Kingdom road (bike path Lennoxville-North Hatley)
In the spring, between Kingdom and Stafford road, the 2 kilometer sector of the bike path hosts a tremendous amount of birds, both migratory and nesting. One can easily observe Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Baltimore orioles, Swamp sparrows, Wilson’s snipe, Bobolinks, House wrens, Eastern bluebird, Indigo bunting, Ruby-crowned kinglet, Vireos, Warblers, Flycatchers and Swallows and much more. Something for everyone.
We’ll be doing a round-trip from Kingdom Road (4 km round-trip)
Meeting place: May 29, 7 a.m. at the parking area at the end of Kingdom road (access by route 108 near the intersection with Dunant road)
Duration: from 7 to 11 a.m.
Difficulty: easy
No reservation required, just show up.
