Snow removal and pick-up operations

Place your bins properly

  • Please place your bins inside your driveway so as not to interfere with snow removal
  • It is also important to leave a clearance of at least 2 feet between each bin to facilitate mechanical collection
  • Orient the handles and wheels of your bins towards your residence
  • Bins must be put out from 7 p.m. the day before collection and no later than 6 a.m. the day of collection, and then removed as soon as possible after collection

A snow clearing tour takes 3-4 hours
During a snowfall, snow removal can take about 3-4 hours to clear the entire municipality with the snowplow trucks. Usually, snow removal teams start their journeys around 3:00 a.m. and finish between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. A second tour is done for paved collector roads (ex: Dunant, McFarland, Sherbrooke, etc.) in the afternoon when it snows during the day, starting around 1:30-2:00 p.m.
